The Mishimoto Heat Defense Tape offers an effective way to reflect heat and protect vital engine parts from extreme temperatures. It is made from a highly reflective metalized polyimide film, a material also utilized in the aerospace industry to shield sensitive instruments against intense heat. The tape features a glass cloth base that is bonded using a high-temperature resistant laminating adhesive. Capable of enduring up to 675°F of radiant heat, this tape adheres securely with a high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive that comes with a removable protective backing for easy application.
